How Big Is the Trunk of A 2023 Toyota Camry?

The Toyota Camry is one of the most successful and well-liked midsize sedans on the market ever since it was first introduced to the American public in 1983. The newest generation Camry is pleasant to drive, looks great, has plenty of interior space, and provides a high level of comfort. Now, let’s focus on the car’s trunk for a moment.

The 2023 Toyota Camry has a total cargo space of 15.1 cubic feet, which is slightly smaller than the industry average of around 16 cubic feet for family sedans.

For the remainder of this guide, I’ll go into more detail about the Toyota Camry’s trunk, how it compares to other cars of its class, and cover its interior and exterior measurements.

A Brief Look at the 2023 Toyota Camry

This sixth-generation Camry will be produced for the first time in 2023, following its 2018 debut. Though most of Toyota’s cars and SUVs refresh every five years, the Camry will continue to be produced largely unchanged through at least the year 2023. The only significant change from the 2018 model year is found on the SE Nightshade Edition, featuring 19-inch bronze-painted alloy wheels in place of the previous model year’s 18-inch black wheels.

The 2023 Toyota Camry is a top pick among midsize sedans because of its excellent fuel economy, pleasant cabin, and reasonable price. This is a convenient option if you want a reliable driving experience in a well-known sedan model.

Taking a look at the official Toyota Camry website, you’ll find that this family sedan is available in 13 grades with almost twice as many trim options. Here’s a quick overview of the various grades:

  • LE
  • SE
  • SE Nightshade
  • XLE
  • XSEXLE V6
  • XSE V6
  • TRD
  • LE Hybrid
  • SE Hybrid
  • SE Hybrid Nightshade
  • XLE Hybrid
  • XSE Hybrid

While there are several grade options to choose from, they’re all virtually identical in terms of cargo space and overall size figures.

How Big Is the Trunk of a Toyota Camry?

Like any sedan, you’re not going to get a tremendous amount of cargo space in the 2023 Toyota Camry. At max, the trunk can hold up to 15.1 cubic feet of your belongings, which is just about the same as the industry average of around 16 cubic feet.

So, how much stuff can you actually fit inside the 2023 Toyota Camry’s trunk? Apparently, it’s large enough to hold onto 3 large suitcases and probably 4 or 5 small ones with a bit of room to spare.

The Toyota Camry is marketed as a family car, which is great for road trips or running everyday errands. Don’t expect it to hold too much stuff, so if you’re looking for a large family car you can sleep in, perhaps the Subaru Outback is the much better option.

What’s New in the 2023 Toyota Camry?

The TRD grade of the 2023 Toyota Camry is nothing to get too excited about, but the performance-based 19-inch wheels are worth mentioning. If you want a family sedan that looks like it can keep up with the best of them, then the TRD is definitely worth looking at.

From a layman’s point of view, the biggest change between the 2022 and the 2023 Toyota Camry is the addition of the Nightshade version. The wheels on the 2023 Camry Nightshade Edition are easily recognizable as being 19 inches in diameter and a matte bronze finish.

The 2023 Camry Nightshade Edition is otherwise identical to the 2022 model year. It features the same suspension tuning and standard equipment found on the SE trim level, such as a 7.0-inch touchscreen with both Apple and Android music options and an 8-way power driver’s seat. The Nightshade Edition is an option if you want a midsize sedan that stands out from the rest on the block.
